Meet our esteemed Chief Pilot, Steve. 🎈
Steve started his ballooning career as ground crew in 2005, and then worked his way up to becoming a pilot (with a lot of training and many hours of training flights).
Steve has conducted flights all across Australia and has even spent time flying in Kenya. He’s completed over 1,000 hours of flying, which is a lot considering each day we fly approx. 1 hour!
Prior to ballooning, Steve had many interesting jobs, including, but not limited to: Soldier, Arborist and Tour Guide!
Global Ballooning Australia acknowledges that all of our launch & landing sites are situated on the ancestral lands of the Taungurung & Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations, and pay respects to the traditional custodians and their elders past, present & emerging.
