Valentine’s Day is coming, and even though we’ll tell you a balloon flight should be first on your list of gifts (duh! – check out our Valentine’s Day special), we also love to share and spruik all our Mansfield local legends: small businesses like our own who share the same values we do – making sure our customers have the best experience ever. Here are a few we think you should visit if you’re still on a search for the perfect proclamation of affection this February…
Any Room
First on the list is Any Room, a boutique treasure trove located just off the main street of Mansfield (across the road from the Coffee Merchant). Go here for an eclectic collection of out-of-the-ordinary items – there’s almost certainly something for your special person (including prints from Mansfield’s favourite photographer, Min McCormack).
Edith and May
Serving Mansfield and the high country, Edith and May specialise in the prettiest posies and great bunches of Australian native blooms. Their work is stunning; visit their Instagram for ultimate inspiration, plus a little bit extra. Make sure you get in soon – this is the busiest time of year for the flower people!
The Goods
If the person in question is a big foodie, look no further than this absolute HOT SPOT for hard-to-get ingredients. Bon and T pride themselves on stocking Mansfield’s pantries with the raddest groceries around, not to mention fine wines and mixers. In their own words – ‘a big range of our favourite products from some of Australia & beyond’s ‘makers of the good shit’.
BOMA
Every year Merrijig’s most acclaimed wood-fired restaurant puts on a Valentine’s to remember. With specially designed and themed cocktails to celebrate the year’s most potentially cheesy 24 hours, if you can squeeze a booking in here, you won’t regret it. Or, grab a gift card for a later date xoxo
INK BooksHOP
Finally, who can go wrong with a carefully selected book? Even if they’re not a big reader, there is literally a book here for every person on the planet. Every time I go in, I have to stop myself from picking up armfuls for others. You’ll know when you go. This is not just a bookshop; it’s a community. Do yourself a favour and visit Ink’s Insta for Charlotte’s comprehensive and profound reviews.
Thank you for supporting our local businesses and sharing the love this year.
