This one-day workshop was held at Bayview Eden on the Park in Melbourne on Thursday 19th June, with 24 agent appointments setup including a few appointments with key knowledgeable industry contacts.
Partaking in a few Inbound Workshops since I started at Global Ballooning Australia in November 2012, I have peace of mind that circumstances have changed in a much greater scale in terms of having more fruitful relationships with agents and also finding that their knowledge of our product has increased immensely. That is exactly the point of these workshops – to grow networks and build the business with the constant changing economy.
These workshops also come with other benefits – a “Welcome to Victoria Dinner” was arranged the night of the workshop at Eureka 89. This venue is one of a kind with extensive Melbourne views 89 levels above ground. Attendees at this dinner were Victorian Sellers, Distributors/Buyers and key Victorian Industry. It is a great networking event where you are in a more relaxed environment allowing you to have a more personable relationship with agents and industry contacts. Getting to know industry contacts is important. The old style of doing business was to only market your own business. Moving forward to 2014, the key way to get your product into the big wide world is to promote other like-minded businesses who are aligned with your goals and aspirations to succeed as a whole. I sat alongside Marketing Manager, Nola Cuddy from the Melbourne Star – as we have just designed a new package together it gave us the opportunity to discuss this in further and to also get to know each other at a more personal level.
Research the benefits and reap the rewards.
